Learning Support Assistant - 5 days a week hrs) Term Time, **Part Time considered.

Full Driving Licence & use of car preferable **
£15,696.43 per annum based on 32.5hrs per week (paid over 12 months)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at WS Training for a Learning Support Assistant (Special Educational Needs) term time only, to join our team at our 'Ofsted Grade 2' Supported Learning Centre in Colchester/Ipswich.
LSA required to support with classes and placements due to increase in needs and external placements.

You will be responsible for supporting the quality of delivery of teaching, learning & assessment to our high needs students working with tutors to support the assessment against National Occupational Standards, ensuring timely achievement of qualifications for all high needs students either in Centre or associated work placements.

This is an Interesting & highly rewarding role, working with learners some of which have special educational needs and disabilities.

Applicants will need:

Knowledge and understanding of the multiple barriers young people face and be able to develop support mechanisms /interventions.
Understanding of SEND reforms
Evidence of relevant Professional Development
Current knowledge and understanding of the FE sector
Robust knowledge of Safeguarding, Prevent and Equality and Diversity
Good ICT skills
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with people at all levels
Ability to relate to young people with multiple barriers to education.
Able to demonstrate flexibility
Access to personal transport (essential)
Maintain positive within a challenging environment.
