Our client is dedicated to enhancing the life opportunities of children aged 5-12, as well as preparing them for foster care.
The aim of the site is to provide enough support to unlock each child's potential so they can live fulfilling and productive lives.
We need an inspiring manager, someone who will lead the team and use their experience and innovation to plan activities and create those wonderful life opportunities for children from 5-12 years old, taking into account each individual's needs.
This will involve creatively learning about the young person's interests as well as their dislikes and their triggers, using that connection as a launchpad for a rewarding relationship.
A passion for this kind of relationship-building is essential.'General Duties:
- Ensure care teams have the structure, resources and motivation needed to provide the individual, bespoke, support required by the children and young people in our care.
- Working to ensure the promotion and maintenance of excellent relationships with local authorities.
- Deliver an excellent service to children and ensure positive outcomes for children.
- Ensuring any matters relating to the safeguarding of children are managed in line with regulations, national standards, and best safeguarding practice.
- You will deliver efficient management, delivery, and development of our residential service, ensuring the highest quality of care and support is consistently given.
- You will work to Ofsted Regulations, always striving for that Outstanding rating and ensuring safeguarding the children and young people in your care is always your main priority.
Experience and knowledge:
- A management qualification compliant with OFSTED requirements.
- Within the last 5 years, have worked for at least 2 years in a position relevant to the residential care of children.
- Experience working with CQC.
Essential:
- At least 1 year in a role requiring the supervision and management of staff working in a care role (i.e. a position which consists mainly or solely of providing care for children).
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Care or an equivalent qualification or working towards one.
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Children)

- Strong relationshipbuilding skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, management, and leadership skills
