Role outlined
- Responsible for checking goods that have been returned by customers.
- Ensure that product faults correspond with associated paperwork.
- Organise collection notes.
- Relocate faulty/damaged stock to the allocated returns location.
- Manage returns area.
- Ensure that goods requiring reboxing are in a resaleable condition.
- Hold stock to be returned to customers.
- Mark goods to be returned to stock in resaleable condition and relocate them in the warehouse
- Input all collection lines in the appropriate database ensuring that this is maintained up to date with all required information including credit confirmations.
- Maintain system to identify correct qualities of goods received.
- Amend cancellation notes.
- Prepare faulty goods to be returned to supplier.
- Ensure that Buying are sent as per the agreed timeline, the list of faulty goods.
- Organise and schedule manufacturer visits to inspect returned goods.
- Liaise with visiting suppliers over credits for returned stock.
- Work closely with Sales teams regarding the return of stock to customers and Finance regarding the credit of returned goods.
- In relation with the transport team, update in relation to incorrectly collected goods.
Working relationships
- Communicate with all departments and branches in person and on the telephone where necessary.
- Build relationships with supplier Sales Representatives and Drivers.
Skills and experience required
- Selfmotivated.
- A good team player.
- Flexible in assisting and supporting other members of the team.
What level of experience will I need?
- Minimum 12 months warehouse experience
- A warm, caring and welcoming personality
- Strong work ethic and the willingness to go the extra mile.
