We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Team Leader based at our site in Donibristle.


What will I be responsible for?
As the team leader, you will be expected to have a hands-on approach.

You will take on the leadership for the logistics team and coordinate with the operations, and CSR teams to meet the demands of a very busy logistics department.

You will also be responsible for stores control, logistics planning, deliveries and collections for all sites that Donibristle operates with.


Your key responsibilities will also include:

  • Coordination of the Logistics department through effective management of resources to meet delivery schedules.
  • Make sure all members of staff are trained to the correct standards and training documentation is updated when appropriate.
  • Management of all members of staff to ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Oversee documentation, packing and dispatch of goods.
  • Develop and maintain efficiency improvements relating to the performance and wellbeing of the team through continuous improvement.
  • Participate in external/internal audits related to logistics as required by the Trescal Quality Manager within the customer/Trescal facility.
  • Ensure that mandatory and legislative QHSE aspects of work are implemented at all times and that adequate training and dissemination of knowledge on safety and other general matters is given to staff under your control.
  • On a weekly basis check the telematics reports of all branch/contractual drivers.
  • Ensure all drivers have submitted their Daily Driver Vehicle Checklists at the end of each shift and perform weekly spot checks on the vehicles.
  • Manage team performance through appraisals, coaching and development plans
  • Manage any employee relations issues.
  • Occasionally you may be required to perform other tasks which are not included in the above description but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.

  • UK driving licence
  • To have worked in a similar role this is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good analytical and numerical skills
  • Ability to complete paperwork accurately
  • Experience working within a customerfocused environment
  • Strong team leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team in a challenging environment
  • Ability to follow work procedures and instructions within a strong environment
  • Able to use own initiative to solve problems and proactively implement the solution
  • Ability to move products which may require bending, stretching, stooping, stepping, reaching, and/or lifting, in line with Health & Safety regulations
