The outcome of the council's Total Pay and Reward review means the full-time salary for this position from 1st
April 2024 will be £26,873 to £27,334. The salary will be pro rata for part time and term time vacancies.

The East Riding of Yorkshire Council Housing Maintenance Unit is highlighting its commitment to investing in the people of the area in which it serves, by offering permanent posts for a Joiner.


The post will involve carrying out joinery repairs on Reactive Maintenance and working on void properties across the East Riding.


A job where you have the option, to start your working day from your home, providing you can show us evidence of a full driving licence.


Where there are no expectations on you to work overtime, or be part of the call out rota, but there are opportunities to do this, if you so wish.


We are looking for staff that are self-motivated and can work either on their own, or within a team and have the ability to provide a good level of workmanship.


A works vehicle will be provided with a van stock, and we also supply you with work wear and personal protective equipment with specialist tooling and equipment provided to help carry out your work.

There are various training opportunities, to help you in your job, or progressing within the authority.


You will be automatically, be put into the Local Government Pension Scheme, giving you some form of security on retirement and a generous yearly paid holiday entitlement.
