Are you a
Lead Draughtsperson looking for your next opportunity that will provide exposure to international offshore projects? Sealand Projects are currently recruiting for self-motivated individuals seeking to further their career in subsea engineering in support of conventional energy, renewables, and net zero sectors.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support the activities of the business as required in the capacity of Lead Draughtsperson.
- Lead and coordinate drawing office activities.
- Manage the production of drawings, sketches, and other deliverables in line with company processes and applicable codes and standards in support of projects, tenders or internal workscopes.
- Perform draughting checks on drawings produced by internal resources and / or subcontractors.
- Ensure deliverables are prepared with the appropriate level of quality and maintain consistency of output from all assigned resources.
- Ensure utilisation of assigned team and plan, allocate and supervise resources assigned to internal and external projects or teams.
- Monitor progress of deliverables against schedule and allocated budget and maintain communication with Project Managers, Package and Discipline Leads.
- Management and coordination of discrete projects and workscopes as required within area of responsibility.
- Maintain organisation, capability, and competence of assigned team to meet ongoing and projected workload, including supporting any necessary recruitment activities.
- Maintain appropriate and costeffective levels of IT hardware and specialist software in line with the requirements of the discipline / business.
- Manage the update, maintenance, and implementation of formal draughting templates and borders.
Qualifications:
- Qualified to HNC level or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years relevant Technical Draughting experience.
- Technical expert within discipline.
- Proficient user of technical software required by discipline (as a minimum AutoCAD and Inventor).
- Significant experience in a project environment.
- Demonstrable supervisory and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication abilities with strong interpersonal skills.
- Clear selfdiscipline, time management and organisational skills.
- Familiar with legislation, codes, and standards as relevant for area of responsibility.
