Mechanical Estimator

Strong Group are currently working with an established and respected Mechanical specialist based in Tyne & Wear, who are actively searching for a capable Mechanical Estimator to join them on a permanent basis.

Projects are in multiple sectors.

Job Description for a Mechanical Estimator

Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors
Create quotes and respond to inbound queries and requests
Prepare estimates and purchase orders in detail for all products
Review mechanical drawings for incoming quote requests
Understand scope of HVAC work to bid
Communicate with the engineering department on new and current projects
Prepare job take offs

Requirements:

Knowledge of commercial HVAC / Mechanical Contracting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to negotiate effectively
Knowledge of Ensign software
Strong organisational skills, flexibility and ability to prioritise work assignments
Ability to develop budgets and time lines
Great customer service and a team attitude
Attention to detail an asset
Works well on own or in a team environment
Selfstarter with strong work ethic
Knowledgeable in building and construction

Salary for this role is purely dependant on experience, with a range of £35k - £65K plus package.
