EXCITING OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR CLAYTON GLASS, THE UK'S FAVOURITE IGU SUPPLIER

Welcome to Clayton Glass We are one of the UK's largest and most trusted business-to-business manufacturers and suppliers of insulating glass units (IGUs).

We are currently on the lookout for new Production staff to join us at all of our manufacturing facilities and become part of the Clayton Family.

The Role

Position:
Production Operative.

Location:
Clayton Glass Scotland

Reports to:
Shift Manager.

Job Purpose:

To live the Clayton Glass company values, to do your bit as part of the Clayton team in achieving our common goals.

We have varied roles across our sites in which are all vital to ensure a smooth running of the business.

In our manufacturing facilities, we have vacancies in our cutting department, toughening department and also assembly work.

Shift Pattern:
Day Shift : 6:30 am - 3:30 pm - 2 positions

Mid Shift : 9:30 am - 8:30 pm - 3 positions

Night Shift : 8:00 pm - 5:00 am - 5 positions

Objectives:

To work closely with the production team to increase quality, efficiencies and moral.
To work closely as a team with supervision to achieve this.
To push the "Right First Time" philosophy.
To monitor production flow to enable us to hit our production targets.
To migrate across all areas of the production unit

Daily Responsibility:

Achieve daily production targets.
Check daily start up sheets.
Daily housekeeping checks at end of shift.
Log all units that need a full remake, and identify problem/solution.
Health & Safety infringements (inform supervisor).
New customer/extra care checks (liaise with supervisor).
Housekeeping audit with the supervisor.
