Come and join our expanding Sizewell C (SZC) team and work on one of the most exciting and largest megaprojects in the UK, whilst being at the forefront of the UK's climate change agenda and energy policy.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the SZC Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support.

The project is now seeking private investment with a view to start construction in 2024.

When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.


We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Safety Report Technical Lead to join the SZC Design Authority (DA) to manage the technical delivery of the PCSR (Pre-Construction Safety Report) which will be the Safety Report produced to enable the start of construction on the SZC site.

Our teams are set up to work flexibly.

If you're able to travel to the office to collaborate with your team and stakeholders when required, you can be based anywhere in the UK.

We provide a full suite of IT equipment to ensure that our employees can work from home comfortably and effectively.


The Role

:

You'll help ensure nuclear safety and maintain design integrity for the SZC project within the Design Authority - whilst being accountable for the overall technical quality of the PCSR (Pre-Construction Safety Report)


As an experienced Safety Case Engineer in DA, you will play an important role in developing the Safety Report Delivery strategy, including engagement strategy with key stakeholders and provide technical leadership in resolving any technical issues which may arise during its production.


The Skills

:

You'll have a technical understanding of safety case management and production, ideally within the nuclear industry.


You'll have the ability to understand a broad range of technical analysis, identify and lead pragmatic solutions as well as challenge current strategies and integrate technical knowledge into clear, concise and coherent information.
