Corporate/Business Development Manager


Our client based just outside Ware has an opportunity for an experienced Corporate / Business Development Manager to join their organisation, reporting directly to the Sales Manager.

This role is covering clients based in London, Home Counties, South Eastand some National travel when required.


This is a top sales role on the front line representing, maintaining and growing the client's brand in the construction marketplace.

This role requires the person to evaluate, track, develop and grow spend of existing customers whilst creating new businessto set KPI's.

By running a schedule of 16 F2F welfare & business development visits per week.

A successful applicant would need to produce 20% minimum growth on a given set of existing customers and inbound sales leads.


Objectives

  • Grow sales turnover annually within a prescribed customer base by a minimum of 20%
  • Grow GP £ yield annually within a prescribed customer base by a minimum of 20%
  • Develop New Business opportunities as required within existing and potential accounts.

Role and responsibilities

  • Sign off and review all contract/tender pricing.
  • Evaluate and track customer spend.
  • Submit Daily KPI's
  • Run CRM System effectively.
  • Monthly review and action of Dropped Spend Report
  • Monthly review and action of PG Gap Analysis Report

Internal

  • Telephone contact with customers
  • Assisting marketing with bespoke catalogues for larger accounts.
  • Working with Marketing on bespoke customer focussed campaign and promotions
  • Maintenance and growth of Linked In account with daily interaction
  • Prospecting new accounts
  • Attend Sales meeting

External

  • F2F visits to customers
  • Customer Review Meetings
  • Carry out onsite training days
  • Attend ESS exhibition days

  • Number of F2F Appointments per month
  • Number of Director level meetings
  • Number of New Business meetings
  • Number of Events/Toolbox Talks
  • Number of forward booked appointments
  • Number of Account Review meetings
  • Number of E2E contacts per month
  • GBP value of sales per month
  • GBP value of GP per month

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for sales
  • Full valid UK driving license
  • Committed to company growth
  • Reporting skills need to be able and willing to report back to management through a series of set templates
  • Ability to prioritise workload to maximize effective use of time
  • Team Player good communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Presentable, Literate, Articulate & Personable
  • Willing to go the extra mile with a positive, "cando" attitude
  • CRM database knowledge
  • Previous experience of Computer Systems, Excel databases and CMS system
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
