Smallbrook is a 41 bed Care Home based in Horley, providing frail residential and dementia care.

We are seeking an enthusiastic part-time
Lifestyle/Activities Assistant to support it's residents in leading the fullest life that their circumstances enable them to.

What does the role involves?

• To maintain a stimulating programme of leisure pursuits and social events for both groups of residents and on an individual basis suitable to the needs of the resident mental capacity.
• To create and plan external and internal events and inclusion within the local community is included in the programme of activities.
• Create interesting monthly newsletters and update activities calendar
• Ensure that daily record of activities and interaction is maintained on residents care plan
• Encourage participants to make choices for themselves
• Develop positive relationships with family and staff carers

Applicants should have some prior experience of working in the same or a similar capacity.

Please note that working within a Care Home environment requires that successful applicants
will need an official
DBS check and therefore this can take between 4 -6 weeks before commencing employment.

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 15 per week


Salary:
£10.75-£12.25 per hour
