We are seeking a highly skilled Refugee Families Resettlement Officer to work with local communities and the Third sector in Westmorland and Furness.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide practical support and guidance to newly arrived refugee families, as well as supporting and advising families who have been resettled for longer.

This role involves developing a holistic approach to achieve positive resettlement goals through casework, signposting, community drop-in events, and group work.

Experience of working with diverse cultural backgrounds and understanding the needs of individuals and families
Knowledge of the Early Help process and ability to produce clear written reports detailing casework
Self-motivation and ability to work under pressure while prioritizing tasks effectively
Valid driving license and willingness to travel across the wider Council area

About You

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with vulnerable populations.

You will be able to develop strong relationships with local communities and other service providers to ensure effective resettlement outcomes.
