This role covers Medical and Legal Admin Services but will involve working across the group.

The post of Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for the supervision of the accounts administrators within MLAS, and is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional to play a significant role in the further development of the finance function at the Group.

Job Description-

  • Preparation of timely information to support the monthly management accounts process, within agreed deadlines, including preparation of reconciliations and analysis e.g. Bank Reconciliations and Income Analysis.
  • Monitoring the purchase order system
  • Invoice Finance Reconciliation
  • Checking the quality and accuracy of staff expense claims
  • VAT, fixed assets and cashflow support
  • Checking of payment runs
  • Analyse data and prepare reports to support the recharge and intercompany processes.
  • Being a prime contact for all queries in relation to invoices and payments
  • Support the accounts assistants to keep a strong handle on purchase & sales ledger
  • Assisting the account assistants with the Credit Control function and being the contact point for escalation
  • Support the Finance Manager & Finance Director in ensuring all financial issues are effectively resolved.
  • Ability to communicate with staff, customers and suppliers in a pleasant and effective manner.
  • Ability to be selfmotivating, innovative and work without supervision.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Good computer skills with a focus on Excel
  • Prior knowledge of Xero accounting software would be an advantage but not essential
  • Previous Credit Control Experience is essential
