The role in more detail

There's a real opportunity here to show case your culinary skills and show case your creative flair to develop the future ranges.
A team who pride themselves on a collaborative culture, the relationship with process and the operations teams will be a key element of this role. Optimisation of the manufacturing process in scale up trials is critical.
Flavour profiles, food trends and market awareness will be high on the agenda to deliver the next phase in product development to meet customer expectation.
Ingredient evaluation will involve research to identify, and evaluate new ingredients and to enhance product innovation and competitiveness.
Reporting into the Development Manager, who has an inclusive and team focussed style, you will work closely on market knowledge and have input on customer visits, assisting on presentations and have the opportunity to be a strong member of the function who is seen and recognised.

What we're looking for:

A degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
Proven experience in new product development within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of ingredients, flavour profiles and food trends.
Proficiency in project management and critical paths.
Able to benchmark and present market data and insight.
Support the Development Manager in presentations to customers.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with crossfunctional teams and present your ideas with clarity and enthusiasm.
A keen eye for detail, passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
