Our opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive and committed Teaching Assistant, to work primarily in our key stage 2 class but also with our younger classes.

Our Teaching Assistants play an important part in our village school's life and make an invaluable contribution to our close team.

You will work with teachers to motivate, inspire and support our children to develop a love of learning and achieve their potential.

As HLTA, you will provide class cover for 3 afternoons a week. You will also support children on school visits and supervise morning and lunchtime playtimes.

We are looking for someone with:

  • The ability to motivate and encourage children, providing reassurance and help with learning tasks;
  • A positive, nurturing and calm approach to all children and all behaviours, supporting children with their emotional wellbeing;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and other members of the wider school community;
  • The ability to work proactively and flexibly as part of our committed team;
  • A positive attitude and outlook.

We can offer you:

  • A friendly staff team, who will help you feel passionate about your role in our school community;
  • Support from the wider staff team across the federation;
