    Financial Accountant Role

    About Our Organisation

    We are a well-established and respected entity in the Not For Profit sector, seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join our team.

    Job Description

    • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and finalise year-end accounts in compliance with relevant legal and statutory requirements.
    • Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring timely reporting.
    • Liaise with external auditors to ensure all required documentation is available.
    • Contribute to the improvement of financial systems and processes, enhancing the organisation's overall efficiency.
    • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, helping to drive business growth.
    • Support the finance team in daily operational tasks, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
    • Comply with all applicable regulations and uphold the organisation's financial integrity, maintaining the highest standards of governance.

    The Ideal Candidate

    • A strong educational background in Accounting & Finance, preferably with a professional qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
    • Proficiency in financial software, including MS Office, and experience of using similar tools.
    • Previous experience in a similar role within a Not for Profit organisation, demonstrating knowledge of charity accounting and audit principles.
    • A firm grasp of accounting principles and procedures, with excellent analytical and numerical skills.
    • The ability to work effectively in a team, communicating complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing financial challenges.
