AV Sales and Production Manager role


The (AVTMS) Sales and Production manager role is an equally demanding and rewarding role that underpins the whole service delivery strategy for AVTMS within the RCP.


You will provide support materials, maintain systems and provide mentoring to AV technicians, sales & planning staff and RCP colleagues helping them reach high level of competence in the selling, planning and use of a wide range of AV technologies, servicesand event types across both our sites, (St Andrews Place, London and The Spine, Liverpool).You will be expected to view the services we offer from the "client's eye", focussing on the continual improvement of our technical event delivery.

You will be encouraged to approach all the tasks assigned to you with a positive, supportive, and collaborative mindset.


Key Responsibilities

  • Gathering event information from clients and creating detailed and fully costed event technology proposals to meet their needs.
  • That all sales materials specific to the RCPs event technology services are maintained and reviewed on a regular basis
  • That all supporting content and booking system data used for the creation of event technology services proposals are up to date and reviewed annually.
  • Portraying the RCP as a positive and customer focussed organisation at all times.

About you

  • Selfmotivated, inquisitive and methodical

  • Customer focused, excellent communication skills
  • Calm and capable of working under pressure

Previous experience

  • Working in a customer facing sales role
  • Working in a similar venue or event production organisation
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of the audiovisual, events, or technical arts industries
  • Demonstrable knowledge of AV disciplines (audio, projection, video, IT, lighting)
  • A technical or creative art qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
