We are AMS.

Our Contingent Workforce Solutions (CWS) is one of our service offerings; we act as an extension of our clients' recruitment team and provide professional interim and temporary resources.


Our client is a globally respected engineering organisation, providing white collar, Blue collar and engineering services to many sectors including energy, aerospace, marine and defence.


At present we are looking for a
Setter Operator to work on our client's site in
Inchinnan on an initial
12-month contract.

The role is going to be on a
4 shift rotating pattern (including nights).

Daily duties:


  • A Setter Operator will join our team as CNC Operators/Team Members and be required to work within strict HS&E guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • You will be expected to set and operate machine tools producing high quality components to tight tolerances.
  • Maintaining our excellent quality standards, that are integral to our manufacturing process, and delivering the customer's needs
  • The role will require you to work to tight engineering tolerances; experience of this will need to be demonstrated at interview.
  • You will be working within a cuttingedge manufacturing facility, operating a range of Computer controls machinery, so a basic IT knowledge is essential
  • The Setter Operator must be able to critique their own work undertaking both visually and dimensionallyinspecting components.
  • Working with colleagues from across the business, you will be expected to assist with continuous process improvement
  • Medium to High Volume environment operating on grinding and milling machine, inspection CNC Machinist
  • Multiskilled Engineer with the ability to use a range of machine tools, ideally working with Nickel and Steel and Titanium Alloys.
  • As a Setter Operator you will have experience of working in a Manufacturing environment, in an operator role within a volume manufacturing environment, with the ability to safely achieve performance targets.
  • Ability to read and interpret design drawings.
  • An uptodate working knowledge of health, safety (including COSHH) and environmental procedures
  • Quality Experience
