Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,909 to £34,723 per annum (Grade I) | Norwich**We have an exciting opportunity in Norfolk's Residential Service for an individual who is keen to support young people with learning disabilities and challenging behaviours as part of our new Children with Disabilities emergency provision.


Springwood will provide emergency and time limited specialist care for young people aged between 7-17 years, where either family, foster care or other community-based placements are not possible or desirable at the time.


As the Senior Practitioner, you will be a qualified Social Worker, Nurse or Occupational Therapist who will contribute to an assessment of the child's needs with the objective of providing a fun, safe environment for children to enjoy whilst providing parents/carers with a meaningful break.


You will be part of the management team, contributing to key planning and decision making regarding the children's care, working in partnership with other professionals, so experience and knowledge in safeguarding is required.


You will be joining a highly motivated and enthusiastic team who endeavour to make significant changes in the lives of young people and their families.

A knowledge of disability issues and experience of working with disabled children and their families is essential alongside a drive to improve outcomes for disabled children


You will be expected to offer support and guidance on a daily basis including supervision and performance conversations to junior, ancillary staff and students.

You will also be required to take part in the out of hours on call system making decisions and offering guidance to the team around young people's care.
