What does this corker of a job entail?

  • Ad hoc profit analysis of particular products and customers.
  • Completing costings of New Business Enquiries to enable Commercial team to make effective quotations.
- process and looking for solutions to aged stock issues.

  • Monitoring the Commercial Customer Support budget to ensure that it is used effectively and is not overspent.
  • Provide cover to Commercial/Operations Finance Business Partners.
  • Undertake adhoc analysis work for Head of Business Partnering.
  • Price verification for SOP/Customer Services
  • Full responsibility for the provision of profit margin information to the Commercial Team including products, brands, customers, channels and producers.
Implement robust reporting and controls to ensure that all misc. income is correctly recorded and reported in the period results.

  • Assist account managers with updates to customer OBM reporting.
  • Facilitate BPI projects with accurate and effective financial appraisals to improve profitability
  • Support commercial teams with financial modelling of annual prices increases that recover prime cost changes.
  • Support marketing teams to really understand period brand marketing cost for all agency and producer brands and reforecast accordingly.
  • Assist with business growth strategies providing accurate costing information to generate product and brand verticals to aid with New Business Enquiries/Ten Locks Business development and any business integration plans.
  • Propose pricing decisions to facilitate the clearance of stock and identify potential solutions for aged stock issues.

Key Ingredients

  • Ideally educated to Degree level and studying to become a Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA)
  • Has evidence of own career and professional development and strong desire to learn and grown knowledge and skills base.
  • SAP or similar ERP system experience would be very beneficial.
  • Experience of change processes to maximise efficiency in processes, results and team structure.
  • Experience working in a FMCG accounting environment desirable.
  • Experience working within a busy and effective finance department.
  • Experience working collaboratively across different functional area within an organisation.
  • Excellent systems experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate level such as pivot tables and v look ups), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated mathematical and analytical knowledge and the ability to choose the right mathematical methods or formulas to solve a problem Experienced at implementing change to maximise efficiency in processes, results and team structure.
