Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated podiatrist to join our team, working in a vibrant and multi-cultural community.

You will work from various clinic locations across the Trust.

We provide high quality podiatric care, for patients with pathological foot conditions and those individuals at risk of developing serious foot health complications.

You will need a degree in Podiatry and be currently registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

You will need excellent assessment, diagnostic and clinical skills to deliver a range of specialist podiatry clinics including diabetes foot protection and wound care, nail surgery and biomechanics.

It would be beneficial if you have some experience of virtual consultation or triage.

Our model of care is to provide mutually agreed personalised care plans to support patient self-management and optimise foot health.

You should be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, able to work both autonomously and within the podiatry team. Effective organisation and time management skills are essential.

You must be able to drive and have access to a car to be able to support the needs of our housebound patients.

You will have the opportunity to work and develop your skills within a community podiatry team, with a strong emphasis on diabetes foot protection.

You will be joining a friendly and motivated, compassionate team of clinicians who aim to provide high quality and evidence-based care.

Community healthcare is unlike any other part of the NHS. It's personalised care that helps people to retain their independence. It's the NHS at its best and the difference you make is truly tangible.

Our colleagues often describe us as a family, and we know how important that sense of belonging and support is when you start a new job.

It's simple - happy, engaged staff provide better services.

In 2018, we were named 'Best Place to Work for Employee Satisfaction' by the Nursing Times. The same year, we won the Workforce category at the HSJ Awards. In the latest NHS Staff Survey results 2020, we had the best response rate amongst community trusts nationally.

We are the top community trust in the country on the theme Quality of care for the third year.

We had the highest percentage of staff who felt they are able to deliver the care they aspire to and are satisfied with the quality of care they give to patients or service users.

Infection Control

As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination uptake as this remains the best line of defence against COVID19.
