The Company:


A fantastic opportunity for a Designer of licensed children's character products to work for an established, dynamic and fun company during a very exciting period.

The company supply a wide range of têxtile products and are looking to recruit someone whowill work as part of a dynamic team.

You will be designing eye catching Textiles for the children's market.


Benefits:


  • The role is hybrid, 3 days in the office and 2 from home
  • Finish at 3pm on a Friday with core hour working flexibility
  • Holidays are21 days + birthday plus bank holidays

The Role:


  • Reporting to the Head of Creative, the role is responsible for designing seasonal ranges that are visually outstanding and push the boundaries of creativity within the constraints laid down by licensor style guides.
  • The post holder will have a keen interest in design and a willingness to learn and take direction from others.
  • To assist in creating visually appealing designs across the range of products within the company's portfolio of products
  • Liaise with licensors to gain approval for artwork
  • Gain a knowledge of the têxtile and design industry to "design for manufacture" through working with the designers and PD team
  • Produce "mood boards" for new ideas and key colour trends to assist in selling the design ideas to the team.
  • Assist the packaging team with product photography for customers and marketing
  • The ability to see things in 3D and understand the scale and end use of our products.

Skills Required:


  • Have a keen interest in design and a strong eye for colours and designing fun, eye catching children's designs
  • The ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be professional, with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic and willingness to observe and learn
  • It is essential that you have a working knowledge of the Adobe Create Suite for Mac as well as good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
