The Focus of your Role:


As an EHS Consultant Degree Apprentice, you will be working within the Environmental, Energy, Health & Safety (EHS) Management Systems globally.

This currently includes 34 individual countries, with plans to grow further in the next 5 years.

This role will include training to become an environmental management systems auditor (physical and virtual) checking that sites conform to the requirements of EHS System manuals.


Over the 5-year programme you will:

  • Analyse and report on data and findings to assess performance for internal and management reviews
  • Have exposure to international operations and travel accordingly where required
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including EHS consultants, regional sustainability leads and operational teams
  • Ensure overall compliance of a country/region within the Group Environmental and Energy Management Systems and relevant ISO standards (14001, 50001, 45001)
  • Support EHS Consultants to implement, transition and grow scopes of certification in specific countries in line with our innovative global roll out strategy
  • Ensure 'documented information' and records are maintained through the environmental management systems

You'll study for BSc Honours Degree in Environmental Science over 5-years at the School of Engineering and the Environment at Kingston University.

Through training, workplace projects and day-to-day work, you'll gain the skills and knowledge to get the future you want


In the 5-year programme you'll:

  • Undertake an Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) accredited programme
  • Have access to a free student IEMA membership whilst on the programme
  • Undertake a blended learning approach with typically 1 day per week on campus at Kingston University
  • A range of workshops, virtual, inperson learning as well as field work and site visits and written assignments
  • Graduate with a degree and a graduation ceremony
  • Have the opportunity to join the student union or societies at the university
  • Be on campus for a 2day induction during fresher's week for that real university experience

Eligibility:


  • 5 GCSEs A*C including Maths and English (49)
  • A minimum of 2 A 'levels A*C (96 UCAS points) or equivalent (1 preferred in Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology or Physics but not essential)
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
  • Ability and willingness to travel to Kingston University and different offices & sites
  • Analytical capability and selfmotivation
  • Interest in corporate sustainability and/or environmental science
