Administrator
Full time 35 hours per week
This is an opportunity for an experienced administrator to join our friendly team in a well
- established organisation. This is a 12 month fixed term contract. If you have excellent administrative ability, competent IT skills and a sensitive telephone manner you can use these skills to help us to provide a valuable and much needed service to our clients.
The Norwich Centre offers counselling to all regardless of ability to pay. It is also a leading local provider of counsellor training.
Norwich Centre Projects is part of the Norwich Centre and offers counselling and training to commercial, statutory and charitable organisations.
Responsible for assisting the Office Manager with the administration of the counselling service and contribute to the administration of our training courses, lectures, workshops, and events that take place within the NorwichCentre
Responsible to:
The Office Manager
Principle Duties:
- Assisting with the administration of the counselling services including dealing with general enquiries, data input, client allocation and appointment system.
- Assisting with all administration within the Norwich Centre and
- Keeping minutes at Trustees meetings
- Responding to queries and referring them to the appropriate member of staff as necessary
- Assist with requesting references as required
- Assist with the arranging of interview schedules (where necessary) for course applicants and prepare interview packs for panel members
- Maintaining the online filing system for the different courses
- Responsible for ensuring facilities and provisions are in place for courses, workshops and meetings as required.
- Recording bookings for courses and workshops
- Assisting the Office Manager with the documentation of policies and procedures and ensuring these are observed by everyone working at the Centre and reviewed in a timely way.
- Assist with the he administration of the library and other resources.
- Logging payments for course and ensuring records are up to date
- Assist with maintaining financial records
- Any other duties connected with the administration of the Centre
Qualifications and experience:
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or equivalent, or applicant should have suitable proven
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Proven administrative experience and excellent organisational skills
- Expert user of MS Windows, Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, Publisher
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Knowledge of Xero desirable
- Experience of working in an administrative role in a busy professional environment
- Experience of reception duties including maintaining an appointments system
- Experience of minute taking desirable
- Experience of producing statistical reports desirable

- Able to work unsupervised and manage workload effectively and accurately under
- Attention to detail
- An enthusiastic and flexible approach, willing to do what is necessary to ensure the effective running of the Centre a good team player

Standard DBS check
Commitment to the aims and work of a service which is responsive to persons with mental and emotional difficulties
Salary:
£ 20,020 pa
Annual leave: 4 weeks
