Female Support Worker Required (part time/Flexible Hours)You should have knowledge of how to do the following tasks;
submitting benefit claims online (Universal Credit)
helping tenants to maintain their benefits, check their journals and explain journal entries, assist with To-Do Tasks, prompt ladies to attend their appointments, show them local bus routes.
Council Housing Applications
Registering with local services (GP/Optician/Dentist)
Ordering NI Number Letters from HMRC
Registering tenants with local ESOL Courses
Attend hostels and distribute post, help and assist with correspondence.
You will be responsible for supporting vulnerable women with day to day tasks.
You will perform risk assessments, update daily logs and complete weekly support sessions, monthly reviews.
You will complete sign up packs for new referrals and explain rules, safety procedures, tenancy obligations and more.
You will also conduct room inspections, ensure all residents complete their cleaning rota and report any disrepair or fire/safety hazards and more...
A Driving Licence is essential as you will be travelling to various hostels in Birmingham, mostly in the Perry Barr, Moseley, Sparkhill.
Hours are negotiable and pay dependant on experience.
We need someone who is loyal, reliable and honest with excellent communication and time management.
Excellent report writing skills is a bonus as you will need to evidence and log what support you have provided for each tenant each week.
