An opportunity has arisen for an experienced stores operative, with the drive to make a difference, to become an integral part of the team within our Laundry Division.
Main Duties
- Picking, packing, and storing components in the engineering stores.
- Receiving goods in the engineering stores.
- Dispatching goods from the engineering stores.
- Ensuring all paperwork records are processed accurately.
- Undertaking stock checks, inventory counts and ad hoc duties.
- Ensuring good standards of housekeeping.
- Refurbishment of pump and dosing equipment.
- Compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.
- To advise the Stores Supervisor/Engineering Manager of any problems encountered and suggest improvements to the area.
Essential Criteria
- Experience within a similar engineering stores role.
- Experience operating a computerised stock control system.
- Experience of authorised purchasing.
- Engineering background with an understanding of engineering components.
- Good customer service skills.
- Proactive, flexible, and selfmotivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to work as part of a team.
Desirable Criteria
- Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing.
- FLT License.
- Experience of supplier meetings.
Job Types:

£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
