Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within Derbyshire Council as a Children With Disabilities Social Worker.

Within this role, you will benefit from £35 per hour rate (umbrella) working with an amazing team and fast paced environment.


Within this role you will be responsible for:

  • Convening and chairing Core Group Meetings
  • Producing Initial Child Protection Conference reports
  • Initiating and implementing Child Protection Plans
  • Reviewing Financial payments received by kinship carers/ or carers granted Residence Orders/Special Guardianship Orders
  • Organising/managing packages of support
  • Organising/managing packages of care
  • Arranging short breaks
  • Providing Section 17 support to families and children in need
  • Attending court and giving evidence when required
  • Initiating Care Proceedings
  • Completion of Care Proceedings
For this position you will need to hold a recognised social worker qualification and be SWE registered.

Furthermore, it is essential you have 2 years post qualifying experience as you will be expected to work you own case load with hybrid working.
