Full time 37 hours per week

We are recruiting a Full-time Highway Asset Officer based in Tiverton, however there will be a requirement to work within other areas of Devon as part of a wider Asset delivery Team.

The role is part of a team responsible for the ongoing management and maintenance of Devon's highway assets.

The position involves the following tasks:

Early Contract Involvement (ECI) and Design of planned work programmes for highway maintenance projects

- work alongside local neighbourhood teams to best understand local community needs.
- auditing highway maintenance and other contracts to ensure compliance with DCC contract conditions and specifications
- review, manage and approve payments for highway maintenance schemes

You are required to have an HNC in Civil Engineering or equivalent and /or ability to demonstrate ability to demonstrate proficiency in designing work and auditing of a highway term maintenance contract and other forms of highway contract.
