Data Centre Specialist

up to £60,000 depending on experience

Location - Bristol

Remote working with 1 day in the office per week

Novax recruitment are on the lookout for a Data Centre specialist to join our client's well established and growing team to support their global server infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Managing the external Cloud partner
Positioning the data centre as a partner for digitization and driver for digital innovations as well as establishing an innovation management to identify relevant IT trends
Planning, organisation and optimisation of the data centre's internal processes
Managing the global on prem Hyper-V farm
Define global backup strategy
Implementation and operation of backup & recovery infrastructure

Requirements:

Degree in IT
Several years of professional experience in IT architecture, implementation and migration of complex backup infrastructure environments
Indepth knowledge and extensive experience preferably with Commvault Enterprise Backup
Needs to live within M4 corridor
Proactive and analytical mindset
Experience in project management
Excellent communication skills and team spirit
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
Attention to detail
