Description

Quality Engineer required for a large, well established engineering firm based in Plymouth.

Essential attributes:
The following attributes are essential for the role as Quality engineer:

Some form of Engineering and/or Manufacturing/Production experience
Working knowledge of dimensional metrology instruments and equipment
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to read and understand Engineering/Design drawings
Basic knowledge of metallurgy and materials
Reasonable Mathematics and English

Preferred Attributes The following attributes are preferred but not mandatory:

Minimum 5 years working within a Quality background
Recognised qualification in Metrology / Quality / Mechanical Engineering or A recognised qualification to a minimum level of 4 or 5 (HNC or HND)
Core Tools trained /experience (PPAP/APQP)
Internal Audit Qualification (or equivalent)
Working knowledge of metallurgy and materials testing, standards relevant to metrology & calibration and conducting & hosting audits
Graduate Manufacturing Engineers will be considered
