Description

FAMILY SUPPORT WORKERS Level 3 Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

Exciting opportunities have arisen within the MASH Team. We are expanding our team and require 2 Full-time Screening Family Support Workers (FSW) to join our busy Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

Our MASH Team, is a single point of access gateway for all new incoming referrals into Children's Integrated Services. You will be part of a busy team, providing a high quality service via telephone support to Professionals, Members of the public, Children, Young People, Parents and Carers where there are safeguarding concerns about a child or where families need support.

The MASH team is a multi disciplinary team, with experienced qualified Social Workers, Early Years and Targeted Family Support Workers who provide a wealth of knowledge and experience. We work within fixed timescales to ensure children and families across Nottingham receive a timely service. Please note that there is no direct face to face work with Children and Families, as this is achieved over the phone and is an office based post.

Essential Criteria-

1:

To engage with children, young people, and families, using a holistic, signs of safety approach, which allows them to understand the concern of the referral, and includes them in the decision-making and recommendations.

2:
To have a strong understanding of the Early Help threshold as well as knowledge of the additional support services that will benefit children, young people and families

3:
To critically analyse either written or phone referrals from family members, public citizens and/or agencies and recommend outcomes that meet the needs of the child, young person and family

4:
To manage your own case load, adhering to the Working Together document by aspiring to complete individual screening cases within 3 working days
