Due to an increased workload and demand we are currently seeking an Asphalt Plant Operative to join our team at Leyburn Quarry and Ashphalt Plant, North Yorkshire.

Please be aware that the role will involve shift working that includes days/nights and weekends so you should be flexible and adaptable in your approach to work and be able to remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

Your key responsibilities will be to operate the Asphalt plant, a wheeled loading shovel, carry out some basic general maintenance and ensure this is done in accordance with our safety, environmental and quality procedures.

You may also be required to assist with other day to day operations on site, including but not limited to:

Weighbridge Operation
Quarry Operations (Mobile Plant)
Promoting the company's safety culture through example
Operate systems in accordance with procedures

Experience of working within an asphalt plant environment would be an advantage as would a positive record and attitude towards health and safety, however full training will be provided.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:

We are looking for a team player who can work well within a small group of people but also have the initiative to be able to work on your own at times
