The Role


As an Accounts Assistant, you will be an integral part of our finance team based at our high-profile Head Office conveniently located just off the A38 in Alrewas.


You will be involved in a diverse range of activities crucial to the smooth operation of our accounts administration office.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Customer Purchase Order Coordination: Streamlining the order process to ensure efficiency and accuracy.

Daily Bank Postings and Reconciliations: Managing financial transactions and maintaining precise records.

Credit Control Support: Assist in achieving targets and meeting deadlines.

Purchase Ledger Collaboration: Working closely with colleagues to oversee supplier account activity.

Traffic Offence Coordination:Coordinating the receipt and distribution of traffic offences in line with Service Level Agreements and ensuring appropriate charge recovery.

Asset Disposal Team Collaboration: Working directly with the team to coordinate revenue and income reporting.

Data Transfer Reconciliation: Ensuring seamless data transfers between accounting and fleet management software.

Operational Colleague Collaboration: Working with operational colleagues on focused tasks when required.

Establishing Relationships: Building strong working relationships with both customers and suppliers.

Ad Hoc Admin Duties: Tackling one-off administrative tasks as they arise.

Project Support: Assisting senior finance staff and the Chief Finance Officer in various projects aimed at enhancing reporting capabilities and overall efficiency for the finance team and the wider business.

We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • GCSE minimum grade C in Maths and English.
  • A Level or similar accountancy qualification would be advantageous.
  • Experience in a similar fastpaced environment.
  • Previous experience in a finance office.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • An organised and proactive approach with autonomous workload management capabilities.
  • A confident and resilient disposition.
  • Prior familiarity with accounting software or similar would be advantageous.
