In the role of Catering Stores Person, you'll be based at Waterfront campus in Huddersfield Town Centre, one of our several campus buildings, although you will work alongside all of our college buildings on a regular basis.

Your focus will be on making sure that the refectories team have the right supplies at the right time to ensure the menus can be adhered to.

To maintain the highest possible standards of hygiene and cleanliness at the College in a manner which is safe both to the post holder and to others.


To support the Catering Team Leader in the provision of a day-to-day support service to all 6 college refectories for ordering supplies of food, beverages and catering disposable items.


To have the day-to-day responsibility for the ordering, receipt, storage and distribution of all products associated with the refectory catering service, and the auditing of stock and stores at Waterfront (Huddersfield Campus).


Your key responsibilities will be to organise on a day-to-day basis, the college's refectory food stores, ensuring that food is purchased, stored, and distributed in accordance with Food Hygiene regulations and following the agreed college processes, and carried out according to industry standards.

Ideally, you'll have demonstrable experience of working across a large, multi-site establishment.

It's important that you're able to work on your own initiative and be a reliable member of the wider Facilities team.

You must be able to communicate in an easy and effective manner with all members of the college community in accurate spoken English, and be able to follow instruction.

You will also be required to demonstrate and understand our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
