Department/Role overview
To support the Partnership Accounting Team in managing partner remuneration and capital arrangements for approximately 500 global partners. The role will include project based and BAU accounting responsibilities.


This is a 6 month FTC role to cover a sickness absence, sitting within the Glasgow Financial Management Team, reporting to the Partnership Accounting Manager.


Main responsibilities

  • To provide monthly support regarding partner remuneration and capital payments, account reconciliations, journal postings and accrual calculations
  • To assist with the preparation of annual partner profit summary statements
  • To support the completion of a project to review and reconcile all prior year partner account balances
  • Ad hoc tasks as necessary to assist the Partnership Accounting Manager

Essential skills and experience

  • Relevant accounting experience, in an international and multicurrency business, preferably within the professional services (ideally legal) sector.
  • Computer literate with a good understanding of financial and management information systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Some experience of working with Thompson Reuters 3E would be an advantage.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good delivery skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, orally or in writing with all levels of stakeholders and staff.
