This Role


In this exciting role, you will join a new Demand Planning team to deliver a robust short and long term shipment forecast for an assigned group of products or customers.

You will have strong technical skills.

You will have the opportunity to participate in setting up Demand planning new processes, reporting and KPIs to deliver a meaningful shipment forecast to the business.

You will work collaboratively with other functions on joined processes and our customers to maximise the benefits and to embed new ways of working.

Your Unique Contribution


Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for the development and daily management of a robust and accurate 18 months forecast for an assigned group of products and/or customers. at multiple levels of aggregation and time horizons
  • Help Develop a central forecasting platform, prepare forecast data, analyse the forecast, review trends, research demand drivers, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results. Oversee maintenance of forecast data integrity between systems Connect, Forecasting platform and JDE.
  • Weekly: Ensure Forecast is cleansed, allocations, NPD and Obsolescence are aligned at all times internally and externally with market companies systems.
  • Work in close partnership with our Customer Service Team and the Supply and Production Planning teams in the delivery of supply plans to minimize constraints and ensure optimal customer service and product availability for our markets companies. Highlight weekly variations on volume. Discuss constraints, potential out of stocks, new product (NPD) / end of life (EOL) and problematic stocks and other queries in the weekly cross functional forum.
  • Prepare and maintain relevant reports and KPI's pertaining to demand planning process. Analyse Forecast Accuracy and Bias and propose corrective actions. Ability to extract and present insights from multi sources of data.
  • S&OP: Conduct the monthly collaborative Forecast clinic with our top Market companies, during which forecast is positively challenged, events and key periods reviewed and planned, and main gaps to target analysed and reported back; Agree on changes, risks and opportunities. Prepare inputs for the preparation of the Demand Review.
  • S&OP: Participate in the Demand and Supply Meetings with Market Companies.
  • Continuous improvements: Strive to develop strong influential relationships with our Market companies and other internal functions (customer service, planning functions, commercial and supply chain finance, portfolio Brand Marketing.) to work on improvements projects seeking best in class practises.
  • Participate in the mentoring and training Demand Planning team
  • Your Blend of Talent
  • Strong Experience in FMCG supply and demand planning (5+ years' experience)
  • Strong Analytical skills/numerate and Technically (Ability to work with large amounts of complex data, statistical modelling, SKU Portfolio Segmentation, inventory management)
  • Experience of S&OP and how Demand Planning integrates to the process for the business to achieve its goals.
  • Commercially aware and able to communicate, influence, engage across global crossfunctional groups.
  • Excellent advanced Excel skills and experience of forecasting softwares.
  • Maths or Business qualifications an advantage
  • This role is very collaborative, you will have a positive attitude and be passionate about the field of Demand Planning and best practice, you will embrace sharing knowledge as well as listening to others ideas.
  • Must be p.c.
literate with knowledge of at least some of the following:
MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, MS Word, Power Bi/ SMP/ E1/OBI
