Hybrid - Covering Nottingham areas and Working from Home (Office based in Mansfield)


Salary:
£23,000 - £25,750 (Grade 4)


What are we looking for?
Futures are recruiting for an Employment Support Adviser to work on our Well for Work Programme.


We are looking for a dynamic individual with experience, knowledge and understanding of local employment and skills challenges and appropriate methods of intervention.

The post holder will have experience of extensive case management of clients within an Employment & Skills context as they will be responsible for the development and delivery of an active caseload of individuals who are looking for work or an apprenticeship.

They will offer a job matching function and identifying training needs in relation to opportunities available. This role might be suitable for someone with a Welfare to Work background.


The post holder will source clients from key partners such as DWP, National Careers Service, Community Partners and other referral organisations.

They will spend a significant proportion of their time with partners to access this caseload.

The post holder will work closely with the Business Engagement team to identify forthcoming vacancies, sector based work academies and other employment and training opportunities to progress the individuals into sustainable employment.

They will also liaise with Futures Communications Team to manage the jobseeker/learner facing communications plan and ensure the vacancy website, social media and other communications are accurate and up-to-date.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • To develop an understanding of the barriers and challenges young people and adults face when accessing employment or skills provision
  • To proactively develop and manage a caseload of individuals looking for employment or apprenticeship opportunities developed through the Well for Work provision
  • To provide a jobmatching service for those on their caseload to new job and apprenticeship opportunities secured by the Business Engagement Team and Community Partners to develop a caseload of clients to matched to vacancies
  • To caseload unsuccessful applicants to opportunities to employability and training programmes that can enhance their work readiness, such as Functional Skills and the National Careers Service
  • To provide IAG as appropriate to individuals that are seeking work and require employment support.
  • To provide performance reporting for key Futures relating to Well for Work
  • To ensure jobseekers registering with Well for Work are supported into Futures employment and careers provision appropriate for their needs.
  • To work alongside the DWP, local authorities and other partners to ensure that the support an individual receives is joinedup with other interventions and tailored to meet their needs.
  • To develop and deliver initiatives aimed at increasing the uptake of apprenticeships, work experience and traineeships by jobseekers, particularly young people in the local areas.
  • To develop an understanding of the types of apprenticeships, job opportunities and wider labour market needs of the area and the entry requirements that local residents need to access them.
  • To develop and manage a caseload database system in collaboration with Futures Management Information team
  • To work with Futures' Communications Team to develop a range of communications, marketing, website, and social media resources to promote opportunities.
  • To work with Futures' Communications team to manage jobseekerfacing content of the Futures Vacancy website
