ELECTRICAL FITTER
£25, £27,000.00 basic - OTE £36,

Standard Hours :
Monday - Friday 8:45am - 5:00pm


JOB PURPOSE:


Working as part of a team to build electrical systems and equipment from detailed engineering drawings, at our manufacturing facilities and at customer locations worldwide.


Reporting to Manufacturing Manager

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Construction of electrical systems and equipment following engineering drawings.
  • Testing, faultfinding and diagnostics of electrical equipment.
  • Installation of systems and equipment at customer locations worldwide.
  • Ability to work as part of a team but also on own initiative.
  • To be able to prioritise and work to given timescales.
  • To adhere to the company policies and procedures.
  • To ensure quality standards are met.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Handson experience of electrical equipment assembly or machine building.
  • Faultfinding and diagnostics skills.
  • Have sound knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • City & Guilds qualification in Engineering discipline / apprentice trained.

KEY ATTRIBUTES:

  • Selfmotivated and able to use initiative in prioritising tasks.
  • Keen to accept responsibility and accountability.
  • Professional manner, able to represent the company to a high standard.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be able to travel worldwide and work overtime when required.
  • Selfdriven for progressive and continued learning and development.
  • Full driving licence.
  • MEWP qualification advantageous, training provided.
  • Basic tool kit required, supplemented by company tool allowance scheme.
