Description
We are looking for a fully qualified Speech and Language Therapist to join our small but expanding team. All Things Therapy Centre offers psychological therapy to all ages inclusive of ability and neurodiversity. From October 2023 we are expanding our services to include neurodiversity assessments, focusing specifically on autism.

We are looking for a HCPC registered SaLT who has significant training and experience conducting neurodiversity assessments as part of an MDT.

You will be working alongside a Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapist to offer autism assessments to all ages.

This position is
subcontracted and therefore you must be self-employed, hold your own insurance and remain registered with the HCPC.

You will invoice All Things Therapy Centre for the time you offer.

As this is a new service we are hoping to offer
1-2 clinic days a month to begin with and increase this as demand requires.

Initially you would need to be available one consecutive Friday and Saturday per month (dates agreed as a team). You would also need to contribute to report writing for clients.

There is also opportunity to offer your private SaLT sessions to clients identified from assessments or other private clients. Your services will be advertised and promoted for you. You will have use of a well-equipped therapy room, CRM, online diary and text-reminder system. All invoices are arranged centrally.

Responsibilities:

  • Offer neurodiversity assessments, focusing on autism, as part of a MDT to children and adults.
  • Provide therapy sessions to individuals (OPPORTUNITY NOT ESSENTIAL)
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as Psychologists and Psychotherapists to provide comprehensive care (including report writing)
  • Maintain accurate and uptodate documentation inline with GDPR.

Experience:

  • Qualification in SaLT and registration with the HCPC
  • Previous experience working as a SaLT and offering neurodiversity assessments essential
  • Knowledge of various assessment tools and therapy techniques for speech and language disorders
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with clients of all ages and their families
