Job Description:

Provide strategic leadership across the 025 Service creating shared ownership of the outcomes for children and young people across the borough
Develop strategies, including those across partner organisations, which reflect government directives, legislation and local needs and enables the continuous review of impact and priorities to improve outcomes
Create structures, services and approaches which underpin the council's Additional Needs strategy for meeting the needs of children and young people at the right time and in the right place
Provide strategic oversight of crosscutting changes to the provision available for children with additional needs to direct resources effectively to maximise impact through effective business planning
Create and embed approaches to develop culture, skills and knowledge across the 025 service engaging and empowering teams within a learning environment
Lead projects designed to improve outcomes for children and young people across education and with other partners
Create and embed systems to monitor outcomes for children and young people to understand boroughwide, locality and specific cohort priorities and focus service activity as appropriate
Lead service and staff reshape and redesign to ensure resource is matched to strategic priorities and the changing educational landscape
Improve outcomes for children and young people and deliver the council's plans, priorities and strategies to achieve value for money, consistent with good practice
