An exciting new role of Marketing Product Analyst has opened in our Marketing department at Starrett Europe, based in Jedburgh, Scottish Borders.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin or further their career in Product Marketing by joining our small friendly team.

The Role


The role of Marketing Product Analyst is responsible for analysing and evaluating the performance of the company's products and services in the market, as well as conducting research, managing the product life cycle, and launching or discontinuing products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • To conduct market research projects in conjunction with marketing activities, including customer feedback, product, competitor, pricing, market share, etc.
  • Make recommendations and provide launch strategies based on market analysis to increase profitability and optimize the product mix
  • Monitor product performance, implement sales campaigns, and recommend changes to meet sales forecasts and market demands
  • Support the Marketing Manager by implementing the pricing strategy for new and current products
  • Responsible for managing the development and launch of new products, working collaboratively with crossfunctional teams including R&D, Sales, Technical Support, and Marketing
  • Responsible for managing the product database, which includes creating new items on the ERP, updating the current database, and removing outdated information
  • Supply product information to the Sales and Marketing teams
  • Responsible for managing the revision of UK and Export price lists to ensure that all pricing and product information is uptodate
  • Stay uptodate with market trends, customer preferences, and industry developments to inform product development and marketing strategies
  • Provide feedback and suggestions for continuous improvement of marketing processes

  • Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with customer research methodologies and data analysis techniques
  • Willingness to learn project management skills
