At the Discovery Academy our purpose is to 'achieve outstanding academic success for
every child whilst developing the ASPIRE skills, values and behaviours to lead fulfilling lives.

'Aspire' represents the aims, values and behaviours that we strive towards (Ambitious; Skilled; Positive; Independent; Respectful; Equipped) and our curriculum is designed to support students in reaching these.

Alongside a curriculum that offers breadth and ambition, strong pastoral support ensures students are kept safe and are well looked after and ensures a sense of family is felt throughout the Academy.


The Academy boasts outstanding facilities, a state-of-the-art learning environment and was judged 'Good' following an inspection by Ofsted in January 2019.

Our growth programme includes a £2 million additional teaching facility, as well as the benefits a large Academy can offer, such as a comprehensive professional development and leadership opportunities.


Alpha Academies are committed to staff development and all staff are encouraged to be members of the Chartered College of Teaching.
