  • There is a strong case for hospitalbased violence intervention programmes (HVIPs) based in Emergency Departments (EDs). HVIPs have recently emerged as a public health response to violent victimisation, but despite interest in HVIPs there has been no rigorous evaluation of this public health approach to violence in the UK. The overarching aim of the proposed work is an effectiveness and costeffectiveness study of an ED based Violence Prevention Team (VPT).
  • The role will involve supporting data analysis and interpretation, working with statutory and third sector organisations to understand service provision, contributing to research papers and supporting the projects engagement with stakeholders including survivors.
  • This post is fulltime (35 hours per week), fixed term for a period of 19 months and available from 1st October 2023 to 31st April 2025.

Salary:
£33,332 - £34,980 per annum (Grade 5) - Appointments to roles at Cardiff University are usually made at bottom of scale unless in exceptional circumstances, however for this post, the starting salary is capped at £32,332 per annum (Grade 5.25) due to limited funding
