As a Technical Leaning Specialist (TLS) your role is to train, coach and mentor our next generation of Guide Dog Trainers and Guide Dog Mobility Specialists.

If you are looking to take the next step in your Guide Dogs career and want to inspire others through your knowledge, experience and passion then becoming a TLS allows you to make a bigger difference than ever before.

You will continue to see the full cycle of a dog's training journey, all the way through to partnerships being made and their aftercare.

This is with the added knowledge that you have used your skills and experience to facilitate even more partnerships through the success of your Academy learners.

Once you have been fully inducted and trained as a TLS you will receive your first cohort of learners (normally three).

You will use a blended learning approach to train your learners with a mixture of classroom and practical lessons.

And you'll be supported in doing this by our industry-leading learning experience platform 'Guide Dogs Learning' as well from our highly experienced, collaborative wider Academy Team who will also help you further your own professional and technical expertise.
