Description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our care home as a Team Leader.

As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in providing effective leadership and supervision to our care staff, ensuring the highest standard of care is delivered to our residents.

You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the care home, fostering a positive working environment, and promoting a person-centred approach to care.

The Team Leader will work closely with the management team to uphold our commitment to providing exceptional care and maintaining a warm and welcoming home environment.


Responsibilities:

Leadership and Supervision:_

Lead and supervise a team of care staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management.

Ensure all staff members adhere to care policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Conduct regular team meetings, promoting effective communication and teamwork among staff.


Care Delivery:

Ensure the highest quality of care is provided to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, and well-being.

Conduct regular assessments and reviews of residents' care plans, ensuring they are person-centred and regularly updated.

Monitor and review care practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.

Provide hands-on care and assistance to residents when required, acting as a role model for the care team.


Staff Training and Development:

Identify training needs and provide ongoing training to enhance the skills and knowledge of care staff.

Support new staff members during their induction period, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the team.

Facilitate continuous professional development opportunities for the care team.


Communication and Collaboration:

Maintain effective communication channels with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Collaborate with the management team to ensure effective coordination of care services and address any concerns or issues promptly.

Act as a liaison between the care team and management, conveying feedback, suggestions, and concerns.


Health and Safety:

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement appropriate risk management strategies.

Promote infection control practices and maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.


Qualifications and Skills:

Previous experience in a leadership role within a care home or similar healthcare setting.


Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.

Strong knowledge of person-centred care practices and regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Empathy, compassion, and a genuine commitment to providing exceptional care.

Ability to effectively manage and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

£22,269.00 per year
