We are looking for an
Insight & Data Specialist to join our Marketing Data & Insight team.


This is a new permanent role and a chance to provide a dedicated resource focused on providing the timely and best quality data outputs/extracts to the Group Marketing BI team, streams, sectors, regions, countries, and functions.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about unlocking value from data. The role will also be an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to build a career in data analysis and provision of strategic insights that drive commercial strategy

Key Responsibilities

  • Accountable for cleansing and preparing data available from our marketing and sales data sources to increase the quality, accuracy and speed of the analysis provided by the BI team to the organization.
  • Accountable for the extraction of contacts, client data and reports from SQL database (and possibly other BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI) as per defined criteria received from stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Responsible for liaising and communicating with stakeholders to ensure their business insight requirements have been understood and captured correctly and data is provided efficiently and effectively within the data governance policy.
  • Responsible for liaising with the BSI Data team to report/monitor/follow up on data quality issues, to ensure the accelerated, efficient and effective delivery of business insight reports.
  • Assist the Data Science Team including the provision of data support to the stakeholders and assistance in the reporting of key insights.
  • Supported to deliver ad hoc analysis projects
  • Provision of insight to help stakeholders understand commercial and competitor performance to calculate market share and help identify growth trends.

What we are looking for:


Education/Qualifications

  • Degree in Maths or Statistics or Economics or Engineering or any datarelated field
  • Demonstrable experience in relevant data field

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Python and SQL comfortable with both languages
  • Advanced Excel handling large data sets for manipulation and aggregation using complex functions
  • Experience of using data from a variety of sources
  • Any experience in extracting key insights from data will be favourable
  • High level of computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Understanding of database construction (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of Tableau or Power BI and B2B data (Desirable)
  • Data Insights and storytelling (Desirable)
  • High level of computer skills with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to interact with stakeholders, understand their requirements and translate them into data outputs
