What we're looking for:

Tuffnells are thrilled to offer one Business Administration Level 3 Qualification Apprenticeship within our Finance team.

This role will be 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday.

You will be working in a customer centric role based in a busy finance office, providing daily support with the maintenance of the Sales Ledger Control/Customer Invoice Queries and Central Claims Functions.


Day to day:


  • Ensure processes are carried out in a timely fashion
  • Highlight any opportunities for improving the work process
  • Liaise with representatives of customers, providing copy documentation as required, in order to resolve invoice queries and claims in a timely fashion
  • Work with supplier representatives to educate in the appropriate charging processes and codification to enable swifter invoice processing
  • Maintain the sales ledger accurately in line with customer requests and company processes
  • Front desk/reception cover when require
  • Log invoice queries and claims promptly
  • Highlight problematic accounts to relevant team manager in order that issues can be addressed
  • Accurate processing of customer cash receipts by cheque and BACS
  • Ensure all credit control processes are adhered to for the protection of both the supplier and Tuffnells

You will need to:


  • Be competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Delivery high attention to detail
  • Have a strong desire to learn and progress
  • Be able to work independently & in a team
