Job Summary:

Looking to recruit a highly motivated and experienced occupational therapy assistant to join our occupational therapy service.

To assist OTs with their equipment queries and help with screening of front door OTA work

Key Duties/Accountabilities:

You will work as part of a small team of occupational therapists and with colleagues across all sectors to arrange appropriate support in the community.
The occupational therapy assistant role sits within Adult Social Care, but you have close links with the Mary Sheridan Centre and the Children with Disabilities social work team.
The purpose of the role is to assess or review the occupational therapy needs of children with less complex needs, where screening does not trigger the need for an assessment or review by an occupational therapist.

Essential Experience Required:

Experience with arranging delivery / installation and review equipment / adaptations for children using the appropriate assessment tools and guidance, taking account of individual circumstances and being sensitive to the client context is essential.
Experience of recommending minor adaptations and noncomplex major adaptations is essential.
Experience dealing with children's equipment for the home such as seating, beds hoists and bathing equipment is essential.
