The School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Professional is organised into 4 sections.

Whilst the majority of students are on full time 16-19 study programmes, the School also offers Access HE Diplomas, Apprenticeships, Higher Education courses and a number of vocational adult part time courses.


We're now seeking a Team Leader for IT & Science to work with the Head of Section - IT & Science.

The Team Leader will join the School's Management Group and be responsible for curriculum standards and outcomes for a number of programmes.

They will ensure targets for recruitment, retention, achievement, success, progression, and student satisfaction are achieved and exceeded.

They will also teach on programmes and act as a tutor for student groups, taking responsibility for their academic and pastoral care.


We'd like our Team Leader to hold a degree and/or a relevant professional qualification and have experience of successfully leading/managing FE and/or HE programmes.

You'll have excellent teaching skills in at least one of the curriculum areas in the Section and have experience of successfully monitoring and supporting 'at-risk' learners to achieve or exceed their potential.

You'll have a thorough understanding of quality assurance and improvement processes and how these can be used to enhance the student experience, and have a strong vision for the continuing improvement and development of the curriculum area.
