Production Team Leader
Job Purpose:
Work as part of a production team to contribute to the effective and efficient site performance through the operation of production plant and equipment to manufacture Nickel Zinc cells and battery modules
Key Responsibilities:
- Operating production machinery including loading materials.
- Carrying out quality & safety checks
- Completing routine maintenance activities on factory machinery including setup and basic machine fault rectification
- Carrying out all aspects of line changeover with minimum downtime.
- Logging all downtime via manual/automated systems providing accurate site management information
- Carrying out general duties as required
- Adhering to safe working practices
- Training colleagues on machinery
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Ideally educated to A-Level or HNC level in mechanical discipline or equivalent with sound mechanical reasoning.
- Good solid experience within a multi skilled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn quickly, and to work on own initiative.
- Problem solving ability.
- In some positions a FLT licence is required e.g. materials/despatch, this would be highly desirable
- Good IT skills e.g. for process room duties
- Comfortable working with others, open in their dealings with colleagues. Contributes to team cohesion and calls on others for help when needed.

- Participating in regular safety reviews and training
- Undertaking risk management activities to eliminate or control hazards and risks, including implementing changes to work methods and practices

- Undertaking environmental, health or safety audits as required
